About Deal-Box.com

Deal-Box.com is a non-profit organization founded with the purpose of offering permanent access for historians, researchers, and the public in general to a full archive of e-mail advertising. Deal-Box.com was founded in 2005 by a pair of RPI engineers that wanted to help do their part in preserving digital information in its various forms.

Why do we collect and archive deals?

As the popularity of the Internet, and e-mail has grown, advertising has naturally shifted forms. We maintain a historical digital archive of email deals, now one of the most common form of advertising. Keeping an archive of this correspondence is useful for many reasons, including:
  1. Competitive analysis for on-line advertisers.

  2. Historical record of one of the most popular forms of advertising.

  3. Method of tracking pop-culture and on-line trends.
